Location
- Hochfuegen
is in the Zillertal region of Austria, an area that
includes such resorts as Mayerhofen and
Fuegen. It is situated about a 25 minute drive from
Fuegen up a mountain road that actually ends in
Hochfuegen.
Hochfuegen
is a very suitable area for intermediates. It has a
good mix of blues and reds and has some very attractive
Austrian mountain scenery to enjoy.
The
Hotel - The Berghotel is well situated
with blue runs and drag lifts immediately opposite the
hotel and a red run with chair lift at the rear. It has
two bars, a traditional bowling alley, pool table, indoor
swimming pool, health centre
an excellent restaurant and great atmosphere.
The
rooms/access - The hotel is wheelchair
friendly with easy access at the main hotel entrance,
two lifts and all public areas are accessible. However
there is a limited number of wheelchair accessible bedrooms
so this will restrict the number of skiers who use a
wheelchair.

Jones lives and works in Fuegen as a ski
instructor. She is a grade 2 BASI ski instructor
and a qualified adaptive Instructor. She has
taught monoskiers ranging from raw beginners to Olympic

a stop when required.

nights sharing a room (single room supplement available
if required).
