Skiing
3 Track:
Three
Track skiers usually have one functional leg. They use
one ski and two outriggers. Outriggers are similar to
a forearm crutch with a short ski attached to the bottom.
They give the skier three points of contact, which helps
with balance while moving. Outriggers also help the skier
to move around on the flat and can be used for turn initiation.
Three-track skiers can learn to ski independently and
advanced three-track skiers can usually join able-bodied
ski groups.
