    Finally we are getting some great Summer weather, with temperatures in resort at a very pleasant 22 degrees. The BASI Instructors are up training on the Hintertux Glacier and today the Families join them up there for a Day Out Glacier Skiing. On a blue sky day like today, you can see for miles from up there, right over to the Dolomites in Italy. See our resort blog for more photos and reports of what's on in resort.
    In the UK, we have been busy setting up the new Redpoint HQ. Based in Llangollen in North Wales, the area is well known for it's outdoor activities, with lovely hills for walking, mountain biking, river rafting and paragliding... a bit like resort really!
    Although there's no free time for us in the office, as we are now busy with Winter Offers and preparing to take your bookings for the coming Winter Ski Season. This winter, Nina will be running the UK sales office, so give her a call to see what she can do for you! See our offers blog for the latest updates on offers and availibility.
    Our offers start on the 16th December 2011 and run through until 14th April 2012. Hochfugen ski area, which is celebrating 50 years this year, usually opens in November for weekends and from December full-time... we will post updates of ski area opening dates once there has been some snow! In the meantime, it's worth looking at the offers and planning your trip, as flight prices are still really good at this time of year and you are more likely to get your preferred times.

    We have been busy the past couple of weeks, Skiing on the Hintertux Glacier. Conditions have been excellent with over 1 meter of snow falling in one day.
    The British Disabled Ski team have been out training in Hintertux, Redpoint has organised the Travel and Accommodation package for them again this year. Steve and Greg have taken the opportunity to join in and enjoyed the opportunity to get more experience teaching at the highest level of Disabled clients.
    Snow conditions in the Resorts is looking good at the moment, Hochfugen was going to open this week end but with warm tempatures forcast they have decided to wait untill the snow refrezes again before opening. I would expect that to be next weekend (20th Nov). At the moment it is better they get the base nice and hard before they let people ski on it.

    We've had a great summer in Fugen this year with soaring temperatures, the Redpoint conference and some regular faces joining us for a host of activities and birthday celebrations.
    And we haven't stopped there, August has been a busy time finalising the latest winter brochure, this is our 15th Year in Fugen and were are offering some great celebratory offers, the brochure will be available to view on our website in the next few weeks so watch this space!
    Back in the UK I have been searching for the best available flights for next season and Lufthansa and Easy jet have just released great airfares starting from only £70 per person return. We have selected times to offer you the most amount of time in resort and due to demand we have increased dates on our Solo weeks, Women only ski weeks and our Weekend breaks.

    It is turning out to be a great summer, with a heat wave which has given us temperatures of up to 38 degrees! The only places to be are up the tops of the mountains, where the temperature is cooler, or in the rivers, lakes or outdoor swimming pools.
    The water sports have been great fun and we've taken new videos of White Water Rafting, Canyoning and Inner Tubing (see the Redpoint Blog). We've also done some of the high alpine walks, where the temperatures are cooler and the scenery has been stunning! Glacier was interesting on a really hot day, but we're expecting a cooler spell to freshen it up a bit before the BASI Summer Courses get started.
    Summer Holidays are continuing into September, but we are already turning our thoughts to the winter season and getting organized for skiing. The new ski brochure is coming out soon and we hope to see you out here next winter. It is a great time to book for winter, as the flight prices are amazingly good value at the moment, with peak-time flights for around £130 with the scheduled airlines! This can save you up to £200 compared to booking later. It's well worth calling us now to check the flight fares for your preferred dates.

    The season has flown by once again and we’ve really enjoyed meeting some new faces and welcoming back some familiar ones too. With plenty of snow falling this week it looks like we’ll have a great time with plenty of snow over the Easter holidays before this season comes to an end.
    Our blog is up and running once more, so for all the people that complained about the lack of entries, look again! It’s a good way to see what’s happening in resort and hear news from the UK office on latest flights and travel information.
    Look out for the summer activity holidays, which will be posted on the site shortly. We’re looking forward to an active summer, with plenty of river rafting, walking, mountain biking and even some Glacier skiing up at Hintertux. There are some Solo Walking and activity weeks, relaxing spa and walking breaks, as well as family activity holidays to keep everyone happy this summer.
    There is a lot of demand for next winter already, with plenty of early bookings coming in, so we’ve updated the site with Winter 2011/12 prices and offers to help you get organized early for next year. Vicky and Ines will be happy to quote you for next winter – and you only need to pay a low deposit of £50 per person to get your chosen holiday secured. Flight prices for Christmas and New Year are out and not too pricey at the moment, so it’s worth getting them sorted early to avoid the peak-fares charged later.

    We have just celebrated a fantastic New Year bringing us into a new decade. With an excellent team in resort and great snow conditions, the winter season is now in full flow and we hope to see you out here on the snow soon.
    There are still spaces available for most weeks except the very peak times, so do call for a quote for your chosen dates, I'm sure we'll be able to fit you in.

    At last, the new web site is up for you to read, with regular updates still to come... so don't forget to look back for more news and updates over the coming weeks!

    A new online booking system will soon be added to the site, this will enable you to check details of your bookings and add new items online - it should really make your Redpoint experience an even more personal and convenient one.
