    Solo Ski Weeks
Solo Ski Weeks are designed for people who want to go on a ski holiday on their own. Whether it is because your usual ski buddy can't make it, you don't know anyone else who skis, or you are single and want to make new friends, coming on a solo week means you have some skiing company during the day and a chance to socialise in the evenings.

The week includes five days of Guided Skiing (from Sunday to Thursday), where your guide shows you around the ski areas of Spieljoch, Hochfugen and Hochzillertal and may take you for a Day Out to the ski areas of Mayrhofen or Zell, depending on the conditions. Fridays are left free for you to ski with your new skiing buddies or take a day off.

The guiding is provided for the group of 8 - 10 people, so that everyone has skiing company to stop with for a drink or lunch on the mountain and some company on the slopes. It is not a race and the guide will adjust the tempo to suit the middle to slow end of the group. You are, however, required to be able to ski red runs confidently to join the guiding. The guide will decide whether you have the ability to join the group on the first day. See the FAQ's for more details on your skiing level.

Accommodation is at the cosy Hotel Bruno in single rooms and solos are seated together at mealtimes. The cosy bar is a great place for a social drink and there is the chance to join in a range of optional evening activities.

    FAQ's
    Frequently Asked Questions
How many guided groups are there per week?
There is one guide per group of 8 - 10 people per week.
Am I a good enough skier to join the guiding?
Participants should be able to confidently ski red runs and must have skied for more than 3 weeks before to be allowed to participate in the guiding.
What if I want to ski faster than the group?
Skiers who want to ski faster than the average pace for the group can arrange with the guide to ski away from the group and meet back at one of the meeting points during the day for a social lunch or coffee stop. As long as you let the guide know before you leave the group, then this arrangement can usually be made on the day direct with the guide.
What happens if I can't keep up with the group because of my ski ability?
Skiers who are not able to ski at a suitable pace may be refused the chance to participate in the guiding at the guide's discretion. The guide will decide on the first day whether everyone in the group can join the guiding for the rest of the week.
What if the guide decides my skiing is not to the required level?
Skiers who, in the guide's opinion, can not ski to the required level will be refused a place on the guiding for the rest of the week. Usually skiers who are not able to participate in the guiding due to their lack of skiing experience are offered the opportunity to take ski lessons, for which there is an extra charge.
What happens if I can't keep up with the group because of my fitness?
If you are able to ski the red runs confidently, but find that you get tired quicker than the rest of the group, you can arrange with your guide to take additional coffee stops or a longer lunch break and meet up with the rest of the group later.
I am a beginner; can I still book this holiday?
This holiday is not suitable for beginners or inexperienced skiers. If you are a beginner or still learning to ski, you would be better off booking one of our Learn to Ski packages, where you can meet and socialize with other beginners or intermediate skiers on slopes that suit your level. See our Learn to Ski offers.
    Are your guides qualified?
All our guides are qualified instructors.
Can our guide help our ski technique during the guided days out?
Although our guides are qualified instructors and are happy to offer suggestions and tips to help your skiing while riding the ski lifts, they are there to show you around the ski areas and not to teach skiing. If you would like ski lessons, then please add instruction as an extra to your package.
What can we expect from our guide?
Your guide is there to provide transportation, a plan for the day with meeting points for coffee and lunch and some company for people skiing at an average pace for the group. The purpose of the guiding is to provide company, so there will always be faster and slower skiers in the group and the guide's job is to make sure everyone in the group has a social day out on the slopes.
