    Working as part of the Redpoint Team, duties include teaching skiing to skiers of all ages and abilities. Sometimes you will be required to guide skiers around the resorts rather than teaching and at all times you will be expected to represent Redpoint and assist any of our customers with any queries or problems they may have. The job is based in our main resort of Fuegen in Zillertal, Austria.

    • Description: On a regular week, ski instruction or guiding is offered from Sunday to Thursday. Redpoint offer ski lessons to all ages and abilities as well as ski guiding. You will be allocated to whichever is needed on that particular week, so will get a range of teaching experience as well as doing some ski guiding. Friday is usually the day off and Saturday is the main changeover day. Saturdays are filled with helping guests on their arrival (checking them in, helping them with equipment hire and giving them their lift passes). In addition to this, you will be expected to socialize with the guests on certain evenings out during the week.
    • Position Start and Duration: The position starts on the 21st December 2014 and ends on the 11th April 2015.
    • The adaptive instructor/guide’s Main Duties include:
      - Teaching skiing or ski guiding during the week
      - Being responsible for the maintenance and safe keeping of the adaptive equipment
      - Arranging guests’ lift passes & ski hire on arrival, setting up adaptive equipment where required
      - Showing guests around the ski areas
      - Taking guests to and participating in the evening entertainments where required
      - Working as part of the team and helping the other team members wherever needed and being thoughtful and considerate when using shared services
      - Being helpful to customers wherever needed
    • To do this job you must:
      - Have suitable instructor qualifications (minimum BASI Alpine Level 2 and Adaptive Level 2)
      - Be aware of people’s needs, empathize and adapt your skiing style to suit your guests
      - Be sociable and enjoy spending time with your guests
      - Be safe and have the confidence to make good decisions in the best interests of your guests
      - Share an enthusiasm with the clients for snow sports
      - Communicate effectively as part of a team
    • You will preferably also be able to:
      - Speak conversational German
      - Have some previous experience of group management
      - Drive the left-hand drive 9-seater minibus
      Applicants must hold an EU passport and UK National Insurance Number.

    • General info about the Job:
      On average, you will have one day off a week (usually but not always on Fridays). We offer a flexible service to our guests, which means that you also have to be flexible with your work days to accommodate their needs, so there could be instances where you find yourself guiding or teaching on Fridays and having an alternative day off.
      Since our customers demand flexibility and changes often happen at the last minute, you must be versatile enough to adapt to last-minute changes and be able to support the other members of the team in their duties as changes occur.
